Matron Grace Wilson - Australia Post Commemorative Stamp Issued - Buy one now!

Australia Post have recently released - 12 April 2016 - a commemorative stamp honoring the service of Matron Grace Wilson. This is part of a collection of WW1 commemorative stamps.
The first day issue version is reproduced above. This is available at Australia Post outlets while stocks last. The price is $12.95.
The first day issue includes a reproduction of Matron Wilson's famous long letter sent from Lemnos, dated 6th August, in which she refers to the conditions as being "two awful for words" and news of the dearth of her brother Graeme at Gallipoli. Below is an image of the first page of the letter.
If you are interested in the role of Lemnos in the Gallipoli campaign, or the role of nurses in the First World War, this is great commemorative item that shouldn't be missed.
You can read more about the stamp - and the others in the Anzac collection - by following the link here at Australia Post. The stamps can be ordered on-line - and from overseas.
Thanks to Rosemary Dwyer, one of Grace Wilson's descendants, for alerting me to this.
